Accessible Canada Act

The Government of Canada introduced on June 20, 2018 Bill C-81, the Accessible Canada Act: An Act to ensure a barrier-free Canada. The goal of this bill is to ensure that everyone can fully participate in society and the economy, regardless of one’s abilities.

The Government of Canada held the largest and most accessible consultation on accessibility in Canada’s history, and to further the objectives of the legislation it will invest about $290 million over 6 years.
