DESCRIPTION:This public offering of the Foundations of Disability Inclusion workshop is a 2-hour virtual event in English over Zoom where you can gain a better understanding of disability and access as integral to effective Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion work\, facilitated by disabled and Deaf educators with lived experience.   \n  \nLearning Objectives include:  \n\nRecognize disability as part of human diversity \nUnderstand Independent Living as a fundamental shift in society \nDevelop a common understanding of disability frameworks including disability justice \nExplore ways to actively practice access and inclusion to dismantle ableism \n\n  \nTake this workshop if you:   \n\nReside in or work in Ontario \n\n\nAre interested as an individual and not together as an organization  \n\n\nNew staff at an organization that has taken the main workshop before  \n\n\nHave taken the main workshop before and would like a refresher  \n\n\nWould like to learn about disability inclusion and access and how to cultivate an effective EDI culture \n\n  \nSeats can be purchased at any range between $25 – $35 per seat OR two seats for a fixed $30.
