Crip Storytelling with Ophira Calof | Small Group Labs 2

June 24, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Small group lab 2 will be on Friday, June 24, 2-3pm.

If you attended the presentation on June 20th you are invited to register for a small group writing lab session where participants are invited to share and workshop their stories.

To register email rebecca.wood@cilt.ca or call 416-599-2458 ext 291.

This program invites a cross-disability group of participants to explore how we tell our personal stories through a Disability lens.

Learn more about Ophira here: https://www.ophira.ca/

We are using broad definitions of “Disability” here with the recognition that not everyone identifies as disabled. We recognize that ableism, audism and sanism can be experienced no matter what your relationship to the term “Disability.”  In this program we will honour the language participants use to self-identify.

Why the word Crip?  This word is used to challenge, reframe, and reclaim language, systems, stories, and spaces, centering disability and chronic illness identities and experiences.

This program is presented by the Centre for Independent Living Toronto and the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre.
