Disabled and Racialized Writers Workshop

Join the Centre for Independent Living in Toronto for an evening of writing with a group of Disabled and Racialized writers. Beginners and those curious about writing are welcome! This session will be facilitated by CILT staff with lived experience. Spaces are limited. Please register by Sept 18 at 10 pm.
In this workshop, participants will be invited to introduce themselves, discuss different kinds of writing and sharing stories, do some writing with prompts, and have the option to share the first drafts that are created during writing time. We will end by reading a poem by a Disabled Racialized writer.  This program is only for participants who are BIPOC and have Disabilities.
Access: ASL-English interpretation will be available if need is confirmed by September 18th registration deadline. Zoom Auto-Captions will be turned on. Participants are welcome to fidget and take breaks as needed. Please let us know about any other access needs when you register.
