At our October 15th, 2021 Annual General Meeting, CILT was thrilled to award this year’s Helen Henderson Literary Award to Anne Borden King for her brilliant article, “The House at 600 Sanitorium Road.”
The story highlighted the history of brutally abusive treatment thousands of disabled children and adults endured at the London, Ontario institution, “Child Parent Resource Institute (CPRI).”
Anne is Co-founder of Autistics for Autistics, a valued partner of CILT, and a strong advocate for the self-advocacy rights of Autistics. She has a regular podcast called “Noncompliant – the podcast” that explores neurodiversity and human rights.
