Last summer, Tennessee began culling 323,000 people from its Medicaid program. People were denied the medications they need to survive (even cancer patients) and the home care they need to survive. Some have died or been ripped out of their homes and shipped to institutions in adjacent states.
Disability rights activists have taken to the streets of Nashville to protest man’s inhumanity to man and will again on Monday. In response, the legislators are pushing a bill through to crack down on protesters.”
