Clinics ensure the poor have access to justice, yet they are chronically underfunded
The Ontario government is about to announce a new budget, presumably the last one before the next provincial election. Chances are the big-ticket items will be dedicated to the promotion of health, education and the economy.
There is one expenditure that is vital to the health and economic well-being of some Ontarians, but is never included in the budget, namely, funding for community legal clinics.
