This July the University of Toronto Adaptive Technology Resource Centre is offering two one-week workshops for teens with
disabilities and their friends. Kids learn about creating their own
web sites and more. The first week (starting Monday July 9th) is for
beginners and the second week (starting July 16th) is for advanced
users.
There is also a 4 day (1/2 days) intensive workshop (starting Monday, July 9th) for Needs Teachers, Therapists, and Assistants. This offers an opportunity to become familiar with your computer and the many accessibility features that are available for you and your students.
The workshop will look at ways to use the web in your classroom, and show you how to create your own blogs and basic web sites. The Adaptive Technology Resource Centre is located in Robarts Library at University of Toronto.
