Reporting to the Supervisor, Customer Service, the incumbent’s duties include the following:
- Responds to telephone calls and counter inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner
- Provides accurate and concise information to telephone and counter inquiries
- Issues parking permits, clearances for road allowances, water connections and terminations of service
- Takes payment and issues permits for hydrant flow tests, hydrant use, bulk water
- Creates work orders for utility cuts, connections, sidewalk replacement and culvert installation
- Takes payment for, and tracks the purchase of recycle boxes
- Reconciles cash/credit card sales
- Performs other varied clerical and administrative duties as assigned
- Maintains various file systems and drafts correspondence as required
