The Canada Council for the Arts is an arm’s-length Crown corporation created by an Act of Parliament in 1957 (Canada Council for the Arts Act) “to foster and promote the study and enjoyment of, and the production of works in, the arts.” Under the direct supervision of the Director, Finance and Administration, the incumbent is responsible for analyzing the corporate policy needs and best practices for the Council and writing corporate policies in collaboration with the corporate divisions to ensure a consistency of approach. This position is located in Ottawa.
