A two-part workshop series designed to help Youth and Young Adults with Disabilities (age 16 to 29 years) understand the true meaning of Independence:
Workshop #1:
“Understanding Independence” explores the meaning of independence, different ways of becoming independent and ways of coping with systemic and attitudinal barriers.
WHEN: Saturday September 13, 2008 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Workshop #2:
“Attendant Services: Increasing Independence” explores the concept of Attendant Services and how they can increase your level of independence, and offers suggestions in handling conflict in your relationships with your attendants.
WHEN: Saturday September 27, 2008 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Both Workshops will take place at the Centre for Independent Living in Toronto 205 Richmond Street West, Suite 605 Toronto (Richmond and Duncan)
