Celebrate Deaf Awareness Day

The Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) Toronto is hosting its 2nd Annual “Deaf Awareness Day.” International Deaf Awareness Week is an annual worldwide event initiated by the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) to celebrate the culture, heritage and language unique to deaf people of the world.

  • American Sign Language classes (ASL) and games
  • Informative workshops on Deaf leadership, rights and more…
  • Free information kit
  • Communication devices displays
  • Information booths
  • Snacks and drinks on sale during lunch hour

When: Thursday October 15, 2009 from 9:30am to 4:00 pm.
Where: The Canadian Hearing Society, 271 Spadina Road
