The Law Commission of Ontario (LCO) is an independent research body considering legal questions which work toward access to justice. The projects currently underway include developing a coherent approach to the law as it affects people with disabilities and a similar project focusing on the law as it affects older persons. Other projects consider the degree of protection afforded to vulnerable workers and precarious work, recommendations to modernize and rationalize the Provincial Offences Act, and one which looks at family justice reform.
