Getting Services Right for Torontonians with Disabilities

Published: September 27, 2005

You are invited to join us for a Parks, Forestry and Recreation
consultation session for Torontonians with Disabilities.

We welcome:

  • Parents/Caregivers
  • Youth
  • Adults
  • Older Adults
  • Service Providers

These focus groups are a follow up to the Reactive Toronto consultation sessions held last summer. City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation values the diversity in our communities and would like to meet with you to receive additional feedback on our Adapted Programs and Integrated Services for People with Disabilities as well as your suggestions on how we can improve service delivery in the future.   At these sessions we will be asking for your input on the following topics:

  • Creating more welcoming environments
  • Developing new program ideas
  • Improving accessibility of indoor and outdoor facilities
  • Increasing employment opportunities for People with Disabilities
  • Any other suggestions to help us improve

Please join us for free refreshments and to meet with City of Toronto recreation staff. Please confirm your attendance to Chris Ram.   You may also complete a survey online at www.toronto.ca/parks Sign Language Interpreters and Attendant Care Services
