Imagine you were sitting in class, at work or on public transit and a stranger pats you on the head or grabs you by the shoulders with no warning or discussion. That just sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? This is a familiar experience for many disabled people. It is time to take action! On December 3rd in commemoration of the International Day for People with Disabilities, people with disabilities and their allies will be wearing spiked head gear (hats, headbands, earmuffs ect.) in order to increase public awareness.
