Come celebrate National Housing Day with a free community breakfast and a panel discussion on affordable housing including Toronto Community Housing’s interim CEO, Greg Spearn, on Friday, November 21st at 8 a.m. at the Scadding Court Community Centre (707 Dundas Street West – just east of Bathurst on Dundas). Toronto Community Housing faces a growing challenge in maintaining our homes. In fact, it needs to complete over $2.6 billion in repairs over the next 10 years just to keep those homes from reaching a critical state of disrepair. Working with the City, TCH has lined up one-third of the money it needs. But in order to fix all the homes, TCH needs the provincial and federal governments to both come to the table with their one-third shares, $864 million each. This breakfast is an opportunity for TCH residents/resident leaders to speak with a broad range of people who are interested in affordable housing, including politicians, housing stakeholders, local businesses and community members. By coming out and being part of the discussion, you can ensure that the voices of Toronto Community Housing residents are heard by decision-makers. Date: Friday November 21, 2014

Breakfast will be served from 8:00 am – 9:00 am
