This information session offers people living with disabilities effective strategies to prepare for a fun and relaxing vacation. Discussion topics will include: traveling with your own mobility device; budgeting for holiday expenses and arranging attendant services for a vacation.

Guest Speaker: Nicole Neeson, a woman living with a physical disability will be sharing her personal experiences about the many cruises she has been on. Nicole has enjoyed visiting beautiful sunny places such as the Bahamas, Key West in Florida and Bermuda. This October, Nicole will be going on her 7th cruise from Miami to Grand Turk Island
About the facilitator: Rena Nikou is a woman living with Cerebral Palsy who has a passion for traveling. Destinations have included New York, Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam in Nevada.
Rena has extensive knowledge and first-hand experience of the travel industry and travelling with a disability. She secures her own funding for scooter rentals, travels with an attendant, and takes steps to ensure her accommodation needs are met.
FREE GIFT: Each person attending the Traveling with a Disability workshop will receive a FREE Travel Resource Guide prepared by Rena Nikou. The Guide has budgeting tips to help pay for some holiday expenses and also included is information about services available to people with disabilities that can help them travel with ease.
