Direct Funding

Take Control with Direct Funding

Are you an adult with a permanent physical disability who needs support with activities of daily living? The Direct Funding Program allows you to hire and manage your own attendants (caregivers/personal support workers), putting you in charge of your life.

Why Choose Direct Funding?

  • Hire someone you trust
  • Receive funding to pay your chosen attendants (caregivers/PSWs)
  • Control your own services – schedule, train and direct your support as needed

Is Direct Funding right for me?

✔ I am 16 years or older and a resident of Ontario

✔ I have a permanent physical disability and require assistance with daily activities (e.g., dressing, bathing, eating, toileting)

✔ I can self-manage, including hiring, training, and supervising my attendants. Note: Participants are not permitted to hire immediate family members (including, but not limited to, parents, children, siblings, spouses) on the Direct Funding Program).

Get Started Now!

Fill out the short form below, and we’ll send you details on how to apply.

“Every day I am grateful for the opportunity to curate my own support schedule and choose people who I want to work with.”
