TTC Racial Equity Office invitation to upcoming public consultations to improve equity, accessibility, and reliability within TTC Family of Services (FOS), including the Wheel-Trans program.
Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Racial Equity Office is reaching out to invite equity-deserving groups about a series of upcoming public consultations that TTC will be hosting in the near future.
TTC Racial Equity Office public consultations are ongoing efforts to improve equity, accessibility, and reliability within our Family of Services (FOS), including the Wheel-Trans program.
These sessions offered in a hybrid format (in-person and virtual) will provide an opportunity for users of Family of Services to share their experiences, identify barriers, and suggest improvements related to service accessibility, booking systems, and conditional eligibility. While locations have not been chosen yet, please indicate what part of town you would prefer this to happen in, if planning to attend in person. Otherwise, indicate online.
As part of TTC commitment to equity and inclusion, TTC aims to engage a broad and representative cross-section of the community. TTC are seeking to hear from equity-deserving groups such as youth, seniors, persons with disabilities, individuals with low income, newcomers to Canada, Black, Indigenous, and other racialized individuals, members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, women and gender-diverse people, and members of faith-based communities.
All Wheel-Trans customers are welcome to participate, we are particularly eager to hear from FOS users to understand their experiences using FOS.
TTC is working to ensure that the findings from these consultations reflect the diversity of lived experiences across Toronto.
Please note:
The specific dates, times, and locations for the in-person consultations are currently being finalized. TTC will follow up with a confirmation email that includes full details and a registration link as soon as they are available.
In the meantime, if you would like to register yourself, you may do so here: https://forms.gle/YEdhp4ZYFPpWwYLb6
