Allison M. Cox Envisioning New Meanings of Disability and Difference is offering workshops for women with disabilities and physical differences (for example, a facial difference, burn scar or mastectomy). Participants in the workshops will make short (3 – 5 minute) videos using a process called digital storytelling. Digital storytelling combines photographs and sound to help people to tell their own ‘true stories’. The larger aim of the project is to challenge stereotypes. Changing representations is an important part of that. Women who are interested in participating will meet with a workshop facilitator first.
