The Municipal Licensing and Standards Committee of the City of Toronto has undertaken a review of the taxicab industry. This included consultations, stakeholder meetings, and surveys. Several of the meetings were dedicated to accessible service. Under AODA legislation, the City of Toronto is required to consult with its municipal accessibility advisory committee, the public and people with disabilities on this issue, and also create an accessibility plan.
