Accessible Summer Fitness Programs at Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre (BBNC)

  MOVEMENT AND MEDITATION: Low impact movement class suitable for adults with limited mobility. Movements can be done seated. Thursdays July 3 to August 28. Time: 10:30am-11:30am. Fee: $24 for 8 weeks with adult membership (Fee subsidies available)   HOT TUB AQUA – STRETCH I & 2. A low impact, yoga-like exercise class in accessible hot tub. Designed for adults with physical disabilities. Class 1: Tuesdays, July 8 to August 26, 12noon to 12:45pm ($16 for 7 weeks). Class 2: Thursdays, July 3 to August 28, 12noon to 12:45pm. Fee:$18 for 8 weeks with adult membership (Fee subsidies available)
  OLDER ADULT FITNESS:  
This low-impact fitness class consists of weight-bearing, stretching and cardio exercises that foster overall fitness. Can be done seated or standing. Mondays July 2 to Aug 25($40) OR Weds July 7 to August 27 ($45). 10:15am to 11:15am.                            
QI-GONG:  Similar to Tai Chi, this low impact exercise class improves flexibility, mobility, along with breathing, and relaxation. Most movements can be done seated or standing.  Mondays 11:15am to 12:15pm. Fee: $48 for 8 weeks (Fee subsidies available).           Where: Birchmount Bluffs Neighbourhood Centre, 93 Birchmount Rd (at Kingston Rd.)   *No attendant care is available for these classes but participants are welcome to bring their own support escort at no added cost   Spaces are still available.  For more info about registration or accessibility, please contact David at 416 396-7606 or david@bbnc.ca.
